I have had my 380 Bersa for a couple of months now. I really enjoy shooting the gun. The trigger on it is great, the feel of the whole gun is great. Can't go wrong buying the 380 "Thunder" Bersa!!
Pleasantly impressed with this little gun.

The Bersa Thunder 380 in matte finish was the first pistol I ever bought. In fact it was my first gun ever. Being a novice shooter with small children at home I wanted a gun that was "safe." I know that the main safety is between the owners ears however Thunder 380 is a very forgiving gun. The DA/SA trigger allows for a heavier, longer initial trigger pull diminishing the likelihood of accidentally firing because of nerves or stress. There has to be a deliberate steady pull on the trigger to fire it. Secondly, there is a manual safety/decocker that can be engaged which prevents firing even if the trigger is pulled. Finally, there is an integrated lock which totally freezes up the gun using the included key. I found this helpful when I had to suddenly run to the local hospital and change into scrubs (don't like like to leave my guns in cars) for an emergency. I knew that it was inoperable in the doctor's locker room.
Shooting the .380 ACP in a gun this size is a breeze. The single action pull is nice and this gun is ACCURATE. I think it's because of the fixed barrel; I am by no means a great shooter. It has also been very reliable with I think one FTF in the first 100 rounds but otherwise no issues. It's had about about between 900-1000 rounds through it. It runs with all types of ammo and I carry Hornady 90gr FTX Critical Defense for self defense.
I took my first practical pistol course after getting my CCW with it and did great. At first people looked down on this "lowly" 380 but the gun ran without a hiccup, through 300 rounds that day and made me look pretty good in the accuracy department. There were people with fancy polymer guns and spiffy 1911 that couldn't say that. In fact, that 1911 gave his poor owner so much trouble I doubt he has ever trusted it. Me? I know I can trust my life and the lives of my family to the Bersa Thunder 380. I can't give a better endorsement than that.
Some criticism might be that it does have some pointy edges such as the beavertail, saftey/decocker and the slidelock. These can sometime poke into you when carrying. I have found a good holster helps prevents this. I bet the Thunder 380 CC and Thunder 380 Combat models don't have those issues as much.
Exceptional little handgun

When I first saw this pistol, I immediately thought of the Walther PPK, and it actually does share a lot of similarity with that famous little gun. besides all that, however, I found that the Bersa was actually as good, if not better than the PPK in terms of accuracy, reliability, price, and quality. I carry this gun every day, and I absolutely trust it with my life, because I know that when it counts, it will do the job without fail every time. I highly recommend this amazing little firearm to anyone that wants top quality performance and a limited budget. Outstanding job Bersa!

There is something about this little gun that is just right. The all steel construction, the recoil-reducing weight, the low bore axis, the classic PPK style design, everything is outstanding for the price. I've had many folks approach me at the range with questions about it, and after letting them test fire a few magazines, the next time I see them at the range they have their very own Thunder .380 haha
Outstanding Accuracy Out of the Box

I purchased a Thunder in 380 in 1995 to carry while traveling and a gun that would be easy for my wife to use while alone. I could not believe the accuracy of this small pistol when we took it to the. At 7 yards you cover both our six shot groups with a half dollar, at 10 yards both our groups were 4-6 inches. We are not professional shooters so I knew some pros are probably smirking, so be it. I have just passed that 380 to my granddaughter. I told I could buy her a newer, lighter one. "I want yours grandpa". Worked out great, I want the ten shot .22 for me anyway.
Great little gun for the money

I picked up my Bersa Thunder 380 in a trade, and I definitely got the better end. I got it home, broke it down, and gave a long overdue cleaning & lube. Took it out last weekend and ran 2 boxes through it. Not 1 issue to speak of. Shot excellent up to 30 yards, which is all I will ever ask of it. I have used it as my ccw a bunch of times also. Is just a great little shooter. Lost a star for capacity.
My Bersa doesn't fire smoothly, all the time.I've had it worked on but; still doe not cock after each shoot.
